Jumping back in…

August 27, 2010 § Leave a comment

It’s been almost a year since I last posted here, and I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I should post and if I should continue to blog educationally.

I am finding that I have less and less time to read and respond to what other people are saying. So much so that even my twitter account is laying dormant for days at a time.

However, I think with the school year swinging back up again, and me needing a sounding board outside of my own office, I’m going to try my best to write here more often.

Here are some things that I’m currently working on/working through:

A comprehensive comparison of Google Apps for Education vs. Microsoft’s Live@Edu; Social media in the classroom, and showing teachers how to utilize the tools while protecting themselves and their digital identity; launching a district intranet and all of the aches and pains that go along with trying to get all the stakeholders involved and make it a worthwhile endeavor; creating resources for teachers to access when they have questions; trying to keep our district web site current, as well as figuring out what to tweet on a weekly basis.

So you can see that my hands are pretty full, but I’m hoping that I can use this tool again as a place to reflect and bounce ideas and maybe gain some feedback.
