I’m a teacher, but I’m also a geek at heart. I live in two worlds – one where I understand the plight of the teacher, and what it’s like to be in the classroom, and another where I work and speak with geeks every single day, trying to get them to see the light of what they’re doing to these teachers. I fight for the teacher to make their life easier, and I’m doing the fighting from the inside. I want teachers to use the tools available, but I understand that if it’s too hard to plan for it, they’re not going to do it.
This blog started as a way to track the use of blogs in the classroom when I worked for North East ISD. It has evolved over the years and served, at times, as a sounding board, a place to dump ideas, and a place to detail my how-to’s as I work my way through new technologies.
Personally, I’m the husband to a wonderful woman, a father to two beautiful girls, a lifelong (suffering) Cubs fan, and a native midwesterner who found his second calling as a Texan.
